On May 4, 2021, the AIS has successfully passed QMS annual compliance audit for conformance to the requirements of the International Standard ISO 9001-2015. The audit was conducted by a world leader in certification, Bureau Veritas Bel Ltd.
The supervisory authority specialists were introduced to the work of the AIS groups and documents on the efficiency and effectiveness of the QMS.
Following the audit, the certifying authority specialists noted that the AIS continues to be dynamic and evolving. Note was also made of the high level of management expertise in matters related to the functioning of the QMS processes, staff competence-building, awareness-raising, and engagement in ensuring service provision quality and effectiveness of the system as a whole.
The certifying authority representatives commended the AIS activities in providing aeronautical information to the users as well as the high proficiency of the staff. Thereby, the conformity of the Quality Management System with the ISO 9001-2015 International Standard requirements has been yet again demonstrated by the AIS.
The first ISO 9001 Certificate was obtained by the AIS of Belaeronavigatsia SOE from Bureau Veritas Bel Ltd. in 2014.
The implementation of the QMS was a strategic decision of the AIS management, which has significantly contributed to improve AIS's overall performance and provide a solid basis for sustainable development initiatives support.
